Welcome to the SKTC Journal: A Cozy Corner for Creativity, Community, and Everyday Meaning

Welcome to the SKTC Journal!

When I first started Skeleton Key Trading Company, I had no idea how deeply this little brand would intertwine with my life, my healing, and my community. What began as a handful of designs has grown into something bigger than apparel. It’s become a place where hometown pride, cozy style, faith, humor, and resilience all meet in one warm, lived-in space.

The SKTC Journal is where I’ll share more than just new products.
It’s where I’ll let you in on the heart behind the designs, the stories that shape each collection, and the inspiration that moves everything forward. From school spirit wear to faith-based pieces, healing reminders, and Midwest sass kitchen towels.

This is your space just as much as mine.

Why SKTC Exists: More Than a Small Business

At its core, SKTC is built on four things:

Community

Indiana roots run deep, and local pride has shaped so much of what I create. Spirit wear isn’t just apparel — it’s storytelling. It’s families cheering in the stands, teachers wearing hometown colors, kids feeling seen and supported.

Comfort

Everything I make now uses premium, cozy materials like Comfort Colors tees and soft, durable crewnecks. Comfort isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. You should feel at home in what you wear.

Healing + Faith

Some designs are loud and spirited.
Some are gentle reminders you whisper to yourself on the hard days.
Some are quiet reflections of faith and hope.

Each collection holds meaning because real life is layered, and SKTC meets you in all of it.

Midwest Sass & Humor

Because sometimes life just needs a little spice.
A towel that says exactly what you’re thinking.
A tee with a wink.
A moment of laughter in the kitchen.

This voice, cozy charm with a sharper truth, has become one of SKTC’s signatures.
